Local business having a blast

When it comes to having plumbing work done it is important to get the problem sorted quickly, efficiently, and to the highest standard of work – and these are the top priorities for Canberra business Jet Blast Plumbing.

Plumber Tony Awad, who has 25 years of experience under his belt, runs the business with partner Norma.
“When Tony goes out to Canberra homes he gets a lot of comments about how efficient he is – he really gets through his work so quickly but it’s quality work as well. So he’s in high demand,” Norma said.

“And customers are really happy with the fact that Tony doesn’t charge a callout fee. We know it can get quite expensive with tradies, especially getting someone out with a callout fee.”
The business’ specialty is blocked drains, which Tony deals with using his secret weapon – a brand-new, state-of-the-art, high-pressure water jetter.
“Our water jetter boasts 27 horsepower and expels 24 litres of water per minute. So it’s really powerful. It can cut through tree roots and really unblock drains effectively,” Tony said.
“It’s what really differentiates us.”

Jet Blast can also tackle any other plumbing jobs you may have, from the smallest leak to a complete kitchen rebuild.
“We do all sorts of things. We do general maintenance in the house, like leaking taps and toilets and blocked drains and sewers, and we also do a lot of new homes and renovations – kitchens, bathrooms and laundries. No job is too little or too big,” says Tony.

This approach has seen Jet Blast Plumbing gain a loyal following in the Canberra community, and new customers can be assured they won’t have to wait long for a qualified and experienced plumber to get out to their homes.

“We’re usually out there same day or the next day,” Norma said.

“So we’ve built up a great customer base in Canberra and we get really positive feedback from our customers, and a lot of them have become regulars.”
